The miniatures in oil pastel technique by Krystyna Rakowska were created on the border between abstraction and landscape. The artist likes to travel by train and observe Polish landscapes to absorb their undulations, changing colours, the play of lines and spots. She then translates her impressions from the journey into the language of abstraction. She interprets the elements of the landscapes she remembers in an emotional way. The views become blurred, expressive and hazy.
